ok i started another thread and every one jumped on me because i was trying to take the theory of evolution out of the mix and most here seem to believe in it so i will just say it.

the theory of major evolution is crap!

the theory is falling apart.

As has been mentioned several times so far in this thread if you would be so kind as to read them before posting... Your questions about light, colour, etc. cannot be solved by studying evolution. Those things are governed by the laws of physics. These laws do not change. It is possible that they could be the same in any and all universes, we cannot know that. If you want to know about physics, then learn about physics. You don't go to the doctor to have your car fixed, and your mechanic won't be able to help heal your broken bones. Stick to one theory at a time, please.

The fact that the laws of physics are in place has nothing to do with where they came from. They're complicated, sure, but that still does not mean they were created by somebody. In fact, they played a huge role in our universe coming to be.

In a post above I replied to every point in your OP. please respond. And keep in mind that just because I personally or we on this board who are humouring this silly debate are not qualified to succinctly answer your questions has no bearing on what the true answers to your questions are. Understand?

Go back, read all the posts in the last few pages of YOUR thread then please reply. And please don't bounce around subject to subject when you find yourself losing ground... A frustrating but common defence tactic of people with a poor defence.

Ideas to wake up the JW 'Feelers'

a great point was made by neverknew on another thread about certain doctrinal issues will cause a 'thinker' to wake up, but a 'feeler' will just shrug and carry on.

the feeler jw is often not stupid, but intellectually lazy.

they will often not bother to do research, whatever is said from the platform is fine.

The evolution of the eye began underwater with a light sensitive patch of skin. Something that could easily have come about by mutation. Tha flight sensitive patch of skin would he a HUGE advantage over its competitors and would catch on quickly.

And don't forget! Just because your understanding of evolution is poor, and our understanding and proof of it will yet grow more, does not mean god did it.

Your assertion that any of it involves intelligence is yet another flaw.

Crazy guy, all you have done on this thread s far is make ridiculous assertions, which we systematically pick apart and destroy. Then you pop up here and there without reading any of the sts and say we still haven't proven you wrong. This is getting old.

Your understanding of nature is FLAWED. Get through that, or there's no point.

A creature does not try to create anything at all. It just wants to survive, thrive and make babies that will survive and thrive. That is all.

A creature's understanding is meaningless. An animal does not understand that it can see. That doesn't stop it from seeing does it? The evolution of the eye is well documented and explained, if you care to look for it.

Light/darkness has nothing to do with evolution.... You're looking for a study in physics.

This theory is not falling apart, but your argument against it certainly is. Your point about computer code... While occasionally DNA is likened to a computer because of the information it stores, it still is not one. Computer code has nothing to do with what were talking about.

If you don't understand the Cambrian explosion, then perhaps you would like to read up on it. I am not knowledgeable enough to help you there. Still, though, that does not make it true.

Your male/female augment again is easily explained. This is getting frustrating. A book will do a better job of explaining than I can. Flowers that require bees to pollen ate... Evolved that way. They of course didn't always need bees, their relationship with bees is yet more evidence of evolution. They didn't spring up hoping bees were nearby, and bees knew what to do.

Your point about an animal understanding light and creating eyes being ridiculous is right. That is ridiculous. An animal DOES NOT CREATE ITS EYES! You and I would benefit greatly from another arm and hand. We know that. However try as we might, we won't be able to grow one. As I mentioned above, the evolution of the eye is well documented.

Somthere you have it. Every point in your silly OP. If this is an issue that you are truly interested in, then I suggest you pick up a book or two. Dawkins' books are well worth a read. Start with The Magic of Reality, then follow it up with The Blind Watchmaker. Regardless of what you think of the man, his eloquent writing style makes it easy to understand even for simple Fundies like yourself.

Thanks! It's nice to hear from a feeler's perspective. I have been trying to get her distracted, I think that helps. She way never that deeply in, never did research. She is still not interested in doing research though. She just doesn't care. She's brainwashed, that's it.

For the last year and a half she has been doing shift work, which keeps her from at least half the meetings. It also gives he something other than service to do, as she wasn't working before that. She has been making friends at work, but still isn't interested in having them over for a BBQ or anything like that. Since I quit FS she has slowed down a lot. She doesn't like going to the Saturday group because I don't go and it's all families and couples.. She doesn't want to get questions about me. She is just as interested in keeping my situation a secret as I am, as she doesn't want to see me DFed. If I get DFed, suddenly it all becomes REAL, where so far it has just been a secret.

Tell me what you think of this: I could compile a small list of WT references where they quote mine or outright lie, along with references to where the quote was mined from, or where the truth would be explained. Would that help or hurt a feeler? I would think seeing lies would affect her.

It's just strange how it doesn't matter how much I tell her about the problems with the WT, it's just in one ear and out the other. The next time we talk its like its news all over again. I've been trying to create some Cog Dis in her, but it doesn't seem to be taking. Tough nut to crack!

Your world view is based on superstitious hearsay, old wives tales. Cofty says 'Evolution is a muddy water magic fact because HE/YOU simply believe it.' You say, 'Abiogenesis is a muddy water magic fact simply because YOU/HE believe it.'

This is what I was getting at. It's not superstitious hearsay, it's FACT. Beliefs are not a factor. If you believe the earth is flat, you are welcome the have that belief as long as you don't push it on others and try to have it taught in school. Your beliefs don't change the facts that the earth is round.

Evolution is not a belief system. It is a theory based on facts. Facts which are proven despite being disprovable. Beliefs are not required, only a consideration of the facts.

This new book of old recycled arguments has you acting like you have the 'inside scoop' as it were, and we're all ancient for still believing those silly scientists. Woohoo! We bible thumpers were right all along! Yayyy! Like this clown suddenly has shattered 150 years of research simply by compiling the same old ignorant arguments which have been systematically refuted again and again.
